As the evening has come
a vessel appears from the horizon
A days work is done
and the gentle winds let the ship sail on
You and me, on the deck
Watching the beautiful sky
Even if we get caught or suffer a shipwreck
This moment makes it all worth to try
Evening like this is a smugglers dream
It's a preview to a peaceful night
With you as my company and a glass of Irish cream
Tomorrow we can take on the world with our might

It's been a while since I've submitted anything wich is completely my own. I got a sudden urge to draw and test my new pencils and I decided to draw a ship
I don't know a shit about them. All I know is that it's not a frigate 'cause it's too small (though the sails resemble frigates) and it's not a sloop 'cause the sails are different.
Anyway. I haven't used coloursvery much so I'm kinda happy with this one
I used a lot of references. old pictures of masts and sails and different kinds of "bodies" (i don't know the names of all the parts)
But I didn't use just one reference, so it's not a copy of some existing ship
Actually the ship which "body" I mostly used had three masts
I don't even know if it is a mast... That pole which holds the sails

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
